Allambie Umpiring Policy
The Allambie umpiring system was introduced to assist in the management of game allocations for the club. Specifically, paid umpiring for those in Cadets and Seniors who do not wish to umpire their allocated games. All senior registered players will pay an umpiring levy of around $80 to contribute to games allocated to umpires (which were previously allocated to cadets and senior teams). All Junior registered players will be allocated appropriate-levelled junior games to umpire evenly amongst their age groups. These games are not paid.
Guidelines:
- NET SET GO:
- Although we do not encourage weekly payments for NSG we recommend the equivalent of $15 for a Junior player and $20 for a senior.
- JUNIOR REGISTERED PLAYERS:
- Junior registered players (from 12 year olds and up) will be allocated approximately 2 junior games per season to umpire. These will be appropriately-levelled and are not paid by the club.
- Allambie Junior coaches will be allocated one junior umpiring for the season.
- Cadet/Juniors in a senior comp players (16-18yr) will pay an umpiring levy and will be allocated approximately 2 games per season to umpire. Players will be reimbursed for their umpiring their share of duties, 2 games at $35 per game.
- Any Junior players seeking to pay or receive payment for their umpiring should contact either the Umpires Convenor or a committee member.
- CADETS/SENIOR REGISTERED PLAYERS:
- Senior and Cadets registered players (excluding Life members) will pay an umpire levy of $80 to cover their allocated umpire duties. Players will be paid for their umpiring their share of duties starting at $20 for a junior game and $30 for a senior game.
- Senior and Cadets players will be paid according to the below scale for any umpiring they complete for the club.
- Allambie playing senior members who coach will be compensated for the umpiring levy.
- LIFE MEMBERS & NON-PLAYING MEMBERS:
- Life members and non-playing members will be paid for any umpiring they undertake at the below scale.
- Outsourced umpires will be paid in accordance with the MWNA pay scale guidelines.
- All allocations will be sent out at least one week before by the Umpires Convenor.
